Along the road in life you meet all kinda of people and go to all sorts of places, but there will always be that one special friend in you'r life that will be in you'r heart no matter where you go or how much time passes since you'v seen or heard from them, you'r best friend. For me, that's Montana Lynn Austin.
We met in the 3rd grade but didn't become really close friends until the 5th grade. Over the coarse of that year we went through everything together. If i wasn't at her house she was at mine, we were unsepratable! We experienced everything together, from love, pain, betrayal, death, and we found out who we are. We've gone through hell and back together, from her being taken into foster care countless times and me hiding from my abusive father, we even faced her father's death 2 years ago. No matter how much is at stake we always hung in there and stood by each others side. Friendship is one of the most important and essential aspects in our lives, and i'd say we have a pretty rare one.
After 7 years of growing up together we were suddenly torn apart. She went into foster care permanently and months later my family had no choice but to leave Tennessee and move to California. I've been here for 9 months now, but i still hear from Montana time and time again. Her whole life has turned around and changed for the better. She's in the process of being adopted by a wonderful couple who truly love her and she loves them back. She's came to develop a relationship with god and is happier than she's been in forever. I'm so happy for her.
Even across this great distance we still manage to keep our friendship intact and we refuse to let anything change that. I really miss her, she's not just my best friend, she's my sister.
At the end of the year when i turn 18, i plan on moving back to Tennessee, there Montana and I plan to attend collage together and hopefully start our lives as adults. We are goin into our senior year in High School after all.
